Lynn Plautz, R.Ac., RRT

Lynn has been working as a healer in Vancouver for the last 15 years. After 4 years of study at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver, she received a Diploma in Acupuncture in 2008.

She has worked for the past 15 years as a Respiratory Therapist, and continues to do so. She spent many of those years in trauma and acute care, with the last few years working in diagnostics. The 'one on one' contact gave her unique insights into the struggles people had with their health.  It became clear to Lynn that she wanted to heal and educate people in the paradigm of "health care" versus "sick care".

While recognizing the many benefits of western medicine, she passionately believes that many of our ailments can be prevented using acupuncture to treat the energetic body before they turn into physical changes that western medicine needs to address. At the same time, she firmly believes in the integration of both western and eastern medicine to manage disease.

Using a holistic approach, she works towards prevention, re-balancing, and relief of symptoms using acupuncture, tuina (chinese massage), cupping, herbal tinctures, and moxibustion. Given her background, she will focus on respiratory related ailments such as shortness of breath, feelings of air hunger, asthma, chronic sinusitis, sore throat, and chronic cough.
